Ali Musa's Orphanage
Uganda's first sustainable orphanage
We are raising funds to build a new eco-brick orphanage for the children in Ambassador Ali Musa’s care, so they can finally move out of the cramped space they live in today. Thanks to our donors, we have already raised $3,000, which allowed us to purchase the land where the new orphanage will stand. We still need $12,000 to complete construction and $3,000 to cover government fees, taxes, and other costs.

FROM EMERGENCY HELP TO A LONG-TERM HOME
Once a homeless child himself, Ali Musa founded his orphanage to give children who have lost their parents a place to call home. When we first began working with him, the orphanage had almost no resources: children slept on the floor and often went to bed hungry.
Since then, Green Superheroes Movement has funded mattresses, food and rainwater collection tanks for Ali’s children. Now we are working toward something lasting: a new home. We have purchased the land, completed the architectural plans and obtained government approval. With the site being prepared, we’re ready to build with sustainable eco-bricks as soon as construction is funded. Alongside this, we are pursuing water filtration support with W.A.T.A. (Water Access to All), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, to keep the children’s water safe to drink and protect them from illness.
make the orphanage happen
None of this would be possible without donations. Your dollar could be the difference between these children going to bed hungry or not. If you are able to support Ali and his cause, please visit our donations page. Every cent counts!
*Proposed furnishings allowance, not a contractor quote. All gifts should be designated to Ali Musa’s Uganda project.
Donate via Green Superheroes Movement / Zeffy: tax receipts offered; eligible gifts generally deductible under applicable law.
